Ohhh, look…Kick Ass ‘Kick-Ass’ Posters…
For those of who who don’t know much about this project (those very few people, myself included, who never read the comic book or went to comic-con) Kick-Ass is the film adaptation of Mark Millar’s smash comic book series of the same name. Not knowing much about this a few months ago, I saw some of the bootleg footage from comic-con and have to say I was very impressed. Matthew Vaughn has produced Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch., the British remake of ‘The Longest Yard’ called Mean Machine and directed Layer Cake, which are all personal favorites of mine. He’s got a great track record of awesome movies and looks to be taking great care to make this one wild ride.

From our good friends at FirstShowing.net, we get the following excerpt:
Kick-Ass is both written and directed by British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, of Layer Cake and Stardust previously. The screenplay was co-written by Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman, of Stardust as well. Kick-Ass was funded entirely by Matthew Vaughn and his own private investors and sold once finished to Lionsgate
earlier this year.
Well, enough talk, please enjoy these sweet posters posted below. Boy, they sure look great!!

I think these posters give it an almost Batman Begins/Watchmen sort of weight and feel to it with out being a hokey rip off, don’t you?? Anyone out there fans of the comic series?? Anyone just want tot see it because it looks cool?? I sure do!!:)

Wow – love the design of this series! Good to see that there are still marketing people out there who can come up with something better than a big ‘ol mug of the star and call it a poster.
Thanks for posting these, and welcome to the L.A.M.B. by the way!

Agreed!! I think this looks original, creative and best of all would make me interested to see it if I knew nothing about it, which I don’t, so I’d say they did their job:)
Also, thanks very much, the L.A.M.B. is pretty sweet, glad to be part of it!

They definitely look like Watchmen and even though Watchmen didn’t catch my attention, Kick-Ass looks to be more up my alley. Red Mist and Hit Girl look awesome. I’ve never seen Mean Machine but if that guy did all those other movies, I’m definitely on board.

I’ve read it’s supposed to be like a mix-up of Kill Bill and Spider-Man. Either way, I’m stoked and waiting for this right along with The Expendables and Robin Hood. Man, 2010 is going to ROCK!!

I bet you can find the bootleg (and shaky) footage from comic-con somewhere on-line, but the official trailer is supposed to drop in less than 2 weeks with a release date of next April. Agreed “So awesome”!!
