Announcing The First Wave Of Fantastic Fest 2014!

FF2014 Banner The sleepy little town of Austin, TX has been home to lots of businesses and startups but, in the eyes of film fans the world over, the Alamo Drafthouse takes the cake. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Alamo’s film fest aptly named Fantastic Fest. If you ever thought that there’s nothing like the Alamo experience then you better believe a film festival under the same banner would be no different.

We attended in 2012 and had our minds blow (check out our coverage here). So as the Fest kicks off next month (it runs September 18th-25th), have a look at the line up of spectacularly wild, weird and utterly fantastic titles blazing across the screens at the newly renovated South Lamar DH location.

Headlining and opening the fest is the U.S. premiere of Kevin Smith‘s Tusk. But that’s just the tip of the bizarre iceberg as genre fans will be treated to ABCs of Death 2, the third in the found footage horror anthology series V/H/S Viral and more. Also many of the fan fave and high profile filmmakers (like Nacho Vigalondo and Kevin Smith) will be in attendance.

So have a look at the line-up below, and as they say on the Fantastic Fest website, “It’s the tenth anniversary, and it’s going to be AMAZING!
