G-S-T Top 10 – Most Bankable Hollywood Actresses

Editor’s Note: Go,See,Talk presents this post from our guest contributing writer and friend of GST from across the pond. Dan Stephens is the managing editor and founder of  Top10Films.co.uk. Not one to muck about with editorials and irreverent news articles, Dan and his fellow contributors hammer out awesome and definitive Top 10 lists. So have a look at his latest concoction and we implore you to check out some of this other stuff. I was asked recently by a friend to name my top 10 favorite actresses. I couldn’t answer. It wasn’t because there were so many great ones to choose from (like picking my all time number one movie), it was because I couldn’t think of one. The ones…

G-S-T Quick 5 – Favorite Chris Messina Films

Last week saw the release of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris ‘ highly entertaining ensemble indie comedy Ruby Sparks. While high marks go to the directing duo (who also gave us Little Miss Sunshine) and even higher ones going to star/writer Zoe Kazan, this post is an effort to highlight the unsung hero of that charming and highly original film; one Chris Messina. He’s the likable every-man but also has the chops to pull off any and all roles from “that guy” to a capable leading man. G-S-T Quick 5 – Best Nolan Batman Moments (Leading To The Dark Knight Rises)

Harvey Dent once said that “The night is darkest just before the dawn.” and tomorrow, so say the trailers, TV spots and WB’s immense marketing campaign, that Knight will rise. So instead of us putting up a CineMagic 8-Ball post since everybody on the planet is going to go see The Dark Knight Rises this weekend, I thought I would give Grady the day off and instead offer up what I think are the 5 Best Nolan Batman Moments in the first two installments of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Enjoy the path to The Dark Knight Rises. ——————————————————————————————————————————————– At some point in life, everyone needs a little push and even though Bruce…

    G-S-T Top 10 – Woody Allen Films

Let’s face it, there are a lot of great directors out there. Often we find a director we love and whose career we subsequently follow through each new film release. Other times, we know a director through only one or two of his films, when in reality there is a long list of great ones just waiting to be discovered. In honor of such director’s we’ve decided to showcase some of our favorites in a new series of Top 10 lists that will each focus on a specific director’s filmography. Given the recent release of his new film, To Rome With Love, we thought Woody Allen would be a good…

20 Great Movies You (Maybe!) Haven't Seen

Entertainment Weekly recently published their definitive guide to the 50 best movies “you’ve” never seen. Those indiscreet quotation marks have a sincere, innocent purpose; I’m genuinely not sure who this list is meant for. From the sound of the article, it’s for everyone, but I’m fairly confident that really dedicated film fans have at least heard of movies like Idiocracy, Moon, 24 Hour Party People, Bubba Ho–Tep, and Enter the Void. (And also are aware that movies were being made before 1992.) While I’d wager the average moviegoer isn’t familiar with these titles, I’m just as confident that few among that fifty are unknown to serious cinephiles. So how do you challenge bona fide film lovers? I should again stress…
