CONTEST CLOSED – Win An Exclusive Poster for ‘KIN‘, Autographed by Directors Jonathan & Josh Baker

Attention: CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. Winners have been notified. Thanks for your interest in KIN. ———————————————————————————————————————————— Last month, Jonathan & Josh Baker’s film Kin hit theaters. It’s an amazing story, and you don’t often see this level of quality from first-time directors. To be fair, the duo have a lot of experience in video advertising, but this is their first feature-length effort. In short, it is stunning, and has quickly become our favorite film of the Summer. Check out our spoiler-free interview with them here. We were thrilled to see an advance screening and host their Q&A when they were in Dallas. As part of the press tour, Lionsgate created exclusive posters that…

    Ohhh, Look…’Mortdecai’ Character Posters

Normally, we don’t put up a post just to feature a poster. But today, we got our hands on something that was too good not to share. Lionsgate certainly knows what kind of movie Mortdecai is, and they are having some real fun with the marketing that’s for sure. The film has an amazing cast, but if you ever found yourself asking, “what would those fine thespians look like were they to sport Johnny Depp’s mustache?, then today is the day you get your answer. Aside from the joke, there’s something genuinely funny about the film (well from the trailer at least). Mordecai (starring Johnny Depp) seems like the best Rowan Atkinson movie not…

The following assortment of visual splendor give us everything from the neon lights of Nichols Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives, rice paper themed posters for The Wolverine, a half dozen character posters for The World’s End as well as a whole lot more. Ohhh, Look…Slick Looking 'After Earth' Poster & Trailer

Yesterday the latest poster for the M. Night Shyamalan sci-fi actioner After Earth hit the web. It’s kind of simple but still pretty slick looking. At least it’s not blue/orange and loaded with sparks and debris right? So enjoy the poster as well as the trailer that was released a few days ago below. Personally despite being continually let down by his films as of late, I still think Shamhammer has another hit in him. This could be it but if not, at the very least we can look forward to another amazing score from G-S-T favorite James Newton Howard. Look what he did for The Last Airbender. Anyway…behold, After Earth. A…

    Sweet Trailer…'Olympus Has Fallen'

Gerard Butler stars in Antonie Fuqua‘s throw-back themed actioner Olympus Has Fallen. In the film, the White House (codeword: Olympus) has been overrun by terrorists and only one man can save the day. Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning (Butler) finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of the attack. Using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President (Aaron Eckhart) from his kidnappers. Total Film posted the exclusive trailer, which is essentially a UK TV spot, and we also found a sweet looking quad poster which is at the bottom of the post. Have a look and enjoy! Directed by Antonie Fuqua, this Die Hard meets Air Force One–styled shoot em…

Ohhh Look…Iron Legion Seen On New 'Iron Man 3' Poster

They say you can’t keep a good [iron] man down. He’s beaten Obadiah Stane, kicked the “demon in the bottle” and even Whiplash. So for the upcoming third installment in Marvel’ s (and Disney’s) Iron Man franchise Robert Downey Jr. is back and he’s brought some friends. Over the years we’ve seen Tony Stark grow from a one many army to enlisting some help in the form of Lt. Col. James Rhodes, and in The Avengers it was, well, The Avengers. In this film he’s going up against The Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley) and Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce), and he’s gonna need all the help he can get. That help comes…

Ohhh, Look…New Teaser Poster for 'RED 2'

Bruce Willis is already going to be in two movies this year, why not make it three? After he runs and guns through the cold streets of Mother Russia this month he’ll be getting down and dirty with the Joes in March. Then, later this Summer, he’ll show us that he (and most of the returning cast) is still retired and still extremely dangerous. To get us excited, Summit has released a new poster for the upcoming sequel RED 2. Have a look. Oh, and hope you like red, there’s a lot of it…Enjoy! In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses…

Ohhh, Look…Theatrical Poster For Cianfrance's 'The Place Beyond the Pines'

Derek Cianfrance’s Blue Valentine was not an easy film to get through. That affecting anti-romantic story was a devastating look at love and loss and couldn’t have felt any more uncomfortable or real if they tired. His follow up The Place Beyond the Pines, similarly starring Ryan Gosling, got a lot of buzz at the Toronto Film Festival last year and we have to say that the trailer looked impressive. Well the first official poster has been released and it sports the gritty tone of Cianfrance’s film. Have a look… This multi-generational film follows motorcycle stunt rider (Gosling) who turns to robbing banks as a way to provide for his lover (Mendes) and their newborn…

Ohhh, Look…Teaser Poster For Joseph Kosinski's 'Oblivion'

Earlier this week we shared some, what we thought at the time were, concept artwork for Joseph Kosinski’s sci-fi thriller Oblivion. Well as we soon found out, it was actually unreleased images from the Oblivion graphic novel that was cancelled. Still it was something to gravitate toward since we are about 4 months away from the film’s release and, to date, had seen exactly zip. Well that all changed today as the first official teaser poster has recently been released. It’s grand and very Prometheus inspired but still a little dull. Have a look for yourselves… Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth.  Part of…

'Star Trek Into Darkness' Gets a Poster

Since the first teaser poster for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness hit the web a few hours ago, it’s been repeatedly pointed out that the image draws a lot of inspiration from The Dark Knight‘s own one-sheets. I don’t know if I can avoid adding my own voice to that echo chamber of common observation whatsoever– it’s spot-on. Nobody’s talking about the former wholly mirroring the latter, but the similarities between the two are rather striking and tough to ignore; after all, Nolan’s second Bat-film bore the promise of massive influence right out the gate in its theatrical release four years ago. We’ve seen that influence play out in earnest this year…

You Didn't Hand In Your Term Paper Wazowski…'Monsters University' Teaser Posters

Pixar and director Pete Docter‘s wonderful film Monsters, Inc. scared up lots of laughs and smiles with its heart-warming story back in 2001. While the studio has had success with sequels, this charming film had an ending that no one in their right mind would mess with. So what’s an animation powerhouse like Pixar to do? Well they decided to take this story back a little bit. In this “prequel”, the film will give us a a look at the relationship between Mike and Sulley during their days at the University of Fear — when they weren’t necessarily the best of friends. And these two teaser posters (and teaser trailer) give us a hint of what…

As a film fan, it’s always exciting to see some neat movie related artwork and fan made posters.
