Interview…Jonathan & Josh Baker on Growing Up Down Under and Adventures in Filmmaking

Hey everyone! Hope each of you are safe, sound, and enjoying this global pandemic. What a time to be living in, huh? While there are several things you could do to keep your spirits up in this time of a global crisis (reading, knitting, amateur cage fighting), we have one entertaining suggestion: listen to a 90-minute conversation with Australian-born filmmakers Jonathan & Josh Baker. When it comes to cinema, these guys know their stuff! We’ve gotten to know the duo over the years, and have tried to help spread the word of their film, Kin, whenever and however we can. G-S-T Review…KIN

As cinemas and studios close the books on Summer, it’s a good bet film fans weren’t expecting many more wows on the big screen. Well, if you need a surefire thrill-ride, look no further than Lionsgate’s Kin – the feature-length debut from Australian born, Los Angeles-based directors Jonathan & Josh Baker. The duo craft their first narrative feature, Kin, based on their 2014 sci-fi short, “Bag Man” (check it out here). Exclusive: Interview…David Harbour Talks Hats, Homages, and Jim Hopper in Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’

Of the many things the show has going for it, acting is probably the most noteworthy. Top of that list of talking points is, without a doubt, seasoned character actor, David Harbour. You might not realize it right now,…

    Off the Netflix Queue…’Stranger Things’

If you want one good example why television and long-format stories are continually trumping modern cinematic endeavors, look no further than The Duffer Brothers‘ Netflix series, Stranger Things. When thinking of all the positive and glowing attributes this tiny show encapsulates, it’s almost too much to put into words. The feelings and emotions you’ll have experiencing this exceptional show cannot easily be transcribed (hence this lengthy review). That may not make sense, but don’t worry about it too much; once you’ve seen the show, you will more than likely know what we mean. In just eight episodes, Stranger Things tells a perfectly paced story, replete with a wonderful ensemble cast…

    Ho-Hum Trailer…'The Internship'

Those of you pining for Wedding Crashers 2 we’re sorry, we have no news on that front. However if you’re fond of the likable chemistry between Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, this might just be what what you were waiting for. Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have hit a brick wall thanks to the digital world. While attempting to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google. Things don’t go so well as they continually match (dim) wits with a battalion of brilliant college students. Check it out below. Watching these two try and…
