    Sweet Trailer…'Grudge Match'

Busier and busier in recent years, Sly Stallone continues to show us he still has the eye of the tiger. He’s said goodbye to Rocky and Rambo but with films like this, the upcoming prison flick Escape Plan (which co-stars Schwarzenegger) and The Expendables 3 currently filming, there’s just no slowing down this iconic action hero/renaissance man. Have a look at the first trailer for Grudge Match. In Grudge Match, or as we like to call it The Adventures of Rocky & Bull Niro, Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro as a pair of aging boxing rivals who are coaxed out of retirement to fight one final bout – 50 years after their title…

Ohhh, Look…Stallone and De Niro In 'Grudge Match'

They say that “you can’t keep a good man down” and on that note, the same can be said of the stars of Peter Segal‘s pugilist themed film Grudge Match. In the upcoming film Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro play two bitter boxing rivals who are coaxed back into the ring for a grudge match 50 years after they fought for the title. Today we get a look at the headlining stars as well as Kevin Hart who plays the duo’s fight promoter. It’s a goofy enough premise for a film, one that prompts a hearty “why?“, but the idea of seeing getting to see Rocky Balboa and Jake LaMotta (the…

    G-S-T Review…Bullet to the Head

As you may or may not already know, January is the dumping ground for mediocre movies.  We have summer blockbusters, then we have holiday movies in the Nov/Dec timeframe.  When January hits, if you have already seen all of the Oscar nominated movies, then all you have left are the January movies.  Well, Bullet to the Head is technically being released the first day of February so it is on the cusp of the dumping grounds.  With it being so close to January, which side of the fence will it fall (failure/success)?  Keep reading to find out. James Bonomo (aka Jimmy Bobo) is a hired gun living in New Orleans…

    “The CineMagic 8-Ball” – In Theaters 02/01/13

When so many movies are released each week and trailers often seem better than the movie itself, what should one do? In this precarious situation, we consult the The CineMagic 8-Ball (TM) to help us see through the nebulous marketing haze. Doing so just might save us all a disheartening trip to the cinema and spare us the cost of ridiculous concession stand prices. See what the 8-Ball says about this week’s releases… ——————————————————————————————————————————————- BULLET TO THE HEAD A New Orleans hitman and a New York City cop form an alliance to bring down the killers of their respective partners. Go, See, Thank: The Directors, Movies, and Actors We're Grateful For

We’re a seasonal group here at Go, See, Talk!– one only need go back a month to our Halloween tournament for proof!– and so in the spirit of Turkey Day and giving thanks, we all got together and hand-picked one director, movie, and actor or actress apiece who we’re thankful for. If you know us well enough, then some of these picks should seem right in line with our proclivities and tastes. Then again, maybe we’ll surprise you anyhow. Bill Graham: The director I’m most thankful for is Guillermo del Toro. He lives and breathes monsters, and every time his name is attached to something new, I get a surge…

    G-S-T Top 10 – Movies Off The Beaten Path…Round 3

Going just a bit deeper in to my movie memory and scanning GoSeeTalk’s “Sacred Shelves” and Netflix Instant for some recommendations I’ve lined up 10 more films you may have overlooked. Keep in mind that these aren’t snubbed Oscar winners, but they all have something we think makes them worth watching at least once. Hope you find a few unexpected winners in this batch. After some thought I think I have one remedy for all you heat riddled film fans in the form of 10 incendiary and bombastic action titles. These flicks serve aren’t like any of Christopher Nolan’s intellectual roller-coaster rides, but rather fun and fast ways to beat the heat in the cool confines of a theater (or home theater). Sweet 2nd Trailer…The Expendables 2

While we were sorely let down by Sly’s original opus The Expendables the entertainment and America is all about underdogs and second chances right? Case in point. Going for a bigger and badder but still deliciously 80’s era outing, Sly gets the band of bad-asses back together for Lionsgate’s The Expendables 2. This time Sly has given the helm to Simon West (Con Air, The Mechanic) to spend more time in front of the camera which, we hope, this time is a good thing. Anyway, lock and load, The Expendables 2 is going in hot… Sly (as Barney Ross) is again joined by Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy…
