    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…'Foosball'

From Toys to Bugs (or Antz), and from Gnomes to Smurfs and other assorted tiny creatures, computer animated films never fail to bring diminutive worlds to life on the big screen. From director Juan Jose Campanella comes this light-hearted and fun looking adventure into the world of foosball. That’s right, it’s not just for basement recreation or college bars anymore. The 3D animated film is about a young boy named Amadeo who, with the help of the foosball players, shrugs off his shyness and goes mano a mano against the infamous foosballer, the Champ. Enjoy! It’s just a teaser trailer so granted there’s not much to it. Still, with a little luck it looks like…

Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…Fede Alvarez's 'Evil Dead'

Sam Raimi‘s original Evil Dead is getting an overhaul from one Fede Alvarez. Based on the buzz from NY Comic-Con and the insanity of this teaser trailer, it looks like this might impress all the naysayers…like every. single. one. Now necessity of remakes are subjective and an argument best held elsewhere because today we’re just giving the facts; yes it’s happening and yes it looks good (the latter being the main reason we’re posting it). Then there’s the little added bonus of this getting the seal of approval from Raimi, but we’ll get to that. For now, enjoy!! FYI, it is gruesome so beware!! In the much anticipated remake of…

    Sweet Teaser…'Stand Up Guys'

It goes without saying that Al Pacino and Christopher Walken are titans of the film industry. Hard edged and gritty actors who earned their stripes (and our respect) decades ago, they really are the stuff of legend. So while admittedly they’ve lost a few steps it’s always good to see their faces especially when getting back to their roots. Walken has taken to having a laugh at himself but sadly Pacino just gets laughed at (roles in Gigli and Jack and Jill don’t help much) although his stage career has flourished. Hopefully this story about these aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend, will be a film they…

Teaser Footage From Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln'

Word on the street is that the first full trailer for Lincoln will hit the Web this Thursday. Until now we’ve only seen a poster and 2 shots of Daniel Day-Lewis as the titular POTUS (that’s President of the United States by the way) to show us what Spielberg has in store for us this Fall. To get us ready, we get this teaser (the first of three which drop today, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively) which quickly reveals DDL as Abe Lincoln. Unfortunately it’s not much to go on, nor is actually Lewis who is uttering the portion from the Gettysburg Address. Anyway, for those of you just jonesing to see Spielberg’s soon…

    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…Passion

Rachel McAdams has, most times, been the lovable girl next door and Noomi Rapace is, thanks to the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, riding high in Hollywood (really hope she is more than a foreign flavor of the year and becomes the next big thing). But the two of them look poised to really push their boundaries in the official trailer for Brian DePalma’s TIFF selected film Passion. How does it stack up to his other bold and artistic films like Sisters, Blow Out, Carrie and Scarface…guess we’ll find out but the trailer does look rather edgy in a 90’s kind of way. Enjoy! A remake of Love Crime, the French film by Alain Corneau, DePalma…

    Sweet Teaser Trailer…'Zero Dark Thirty'

A few years ago, director Kathryn Bigelow was the talk of Hollywood with The Hurt Locker. Well, very much in the same vein of that film, word arose some months back that she would be working on an action-oriented story about the final days of Osama Bin Laden. Her film, titled Zero Dark Thirty is based on the true events surrounding the raid on his complex by the Navy SEAL Team 6. This teaser gives us even less info about the famous historical event but is worth a look. So feast your eyes on the cinematic beginning of the end for the al Qaeda leader. Directed by Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow (does…
