    Sweet (No, Make That Gorgeous) Trailer…'To the Wonder'

    It feels like the book has already been closed on Terrence Malick’s forthcoming release, To the Wonder— the film received nothing but contempt in varying forms and degrees at both the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals. At the same time it’s hard not to watch this clip and be awed. Beautiful, stunning cinematography is Malick’s calling card, of course, so there’s little surprise to how utterly captivating the trailer is, but expectation doesn’t make what we see here any less lovely and magnetic.     Cianfrance's TIFF Hit 'The Place Beyond the Pines' Picked Up For 2013 Release

    Hot off the outstanding reviews from the TIFF in Tornoto Canada comes this news about U.S. rights to Derek Cianfrance’s The Place Beyond the Pines. Starring Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Eva Mendes, the film has just been acquired by Focus Features for a 2013 release.     Rachel McAdams has, most times, been the lovable girl next door and Noomi Rapace is, thanks to the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, riding high in Hollywood (really hope she is more than a foreign flavor of the year and becomes the next big thing).
