Teaser Footage From Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln'

Word on the street is that the first full trailer for Lincoln will hit the Web this Thursday. Until now we’ve only seen a poster and 2 shots of Daniel Day-Lewis as the titular POTUS (that’s President of the United States by the way) to show us what Spielberg has in store for us this Fall. To get us ready, we get this teaser (the first of three which drop today, Tuesday and Wednesday respectively) which quickly reveals DDL as Abe Lincoln. Unfortunately it’s not much to go on, nor is actually Lewis who is uttering the portion from the Gettysburg Address. Anyway, for those of you just jonesing to see Spielberg’s soon to be released period-piece (and can’t wait til Thursday  at 7/6c), this should be right up your alley. Enjoy…

Legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg takes another trip in the way back machine to show us the final months in the life of Abraham Licoln. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come.

Starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, James Spader, Hal Holbrook and Tommy Lee Jones, the DreamWorks Pictures/Twentieth Century Fox film, in association with Participant Media, releases in U.S. theaters exclusive on November 9, 2012, with expansion on November 16, 2012. Whatcha think?? Still too early to tell??
