“What’s New on Blu?” – Week of 07/02/12

What's New on Blu?

Whether you rent or buy movies, Blu-ray offers the ultimate in sight and sound. Streaming is convenient, but if you plan on watching the movie more than once, you need Blu. So, What’s New On Blu? you ask. Well, good, bad or indifferent, Go,See,Talk offers up a trio of titles that are being released each week. Check out what’s hitting the shelves this week…

A mercenary is hired by a private biotech company to search for the last Tasmanian Tiger, a dog-like animal believed to have been extinct since the mid 1900s.  The Hunter has a good leading man in Willem Dafoe, and a decent storyline, but it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.  If you’ve seen everything else and you are hurting for something to watch, this might be worth a rental.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement. Given the lack of recognizable new titles being released this week, God Bless America might be your best chance for a good movie.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

A comedy that follows two high school students; one overachiever struggling to write his valedictorian speech, the other a senior now going on his 15th year of school.  If you are a die hard Snoop Dogg fan then Mac & Devin Go to High School might be a good rental.  Otherwise, you might want to skip this one all together.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
