A boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world. Check out our review of The Lorax here.  I have to go out on a limb and say I really enjoyed this movie.  My daughter saw it three times in the theater and I plan on grabbing a 3D copy tomorrow.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Don, a nineteen-year-old sophomore at a Texas junior college, tries to escape his Bible Belt upbringing for life in the Pacific Northwest at the most godless campus in America.  Blue Like Jazz looks interesting, but might be safer as a rental.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Born To Race is the story of Danny Krueger, a rebellious young street racer on a collision course with trouble. After an accident at an illegal street race, he is sent to a small town to live with his estranged father, a washed up NASCAR racer. When Danny decides to enter the NHRA High School Drags, he’s forced to seek his father’s help in taking down the local hot shot.  Can you say low budget Fast and Furious rip off…rental at best.

Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.):  Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Comments

  1. Hmm….not a great week for new blu-rays.

  2. Andrew Crump says

Yeesh. Other than The Lorax— which I liked but did not love, and think is much better suited for kids than adults– this is slim Blu pickings.
