The three best friends that anyone could have are back for their third outing and this time the boys are going out with a bang. As the poster tagline denotes, “It All Ends” but before we get too excited we have ask, what, if anything, did they learn from their last misadventure? We hope they answered that retreaded (rotoscoped is more like it) jokes just don’t have the same impact. To be fair, that blatant redo of the first film’s jokes was the joke but sadly it all landed with a dud…or maybe it got lost in translation. Well, this is a pleasant early-morning, post-blizzard (for you North Easterners!) treat. I’m still not sold on a return trip to the Monsters, Inc. universe, but it’s hard for me to watch the full trailer for Pixar’s prequel to that picture, the inventively titled Monsters University, without cracking a partial smile.
