How does Russell Crowe top playing Maximus, Robin Hood and even the Father of the Man of Steel? Well there’s really only one way. He’s gotta go back, way back, like old testament. After lots of anticipation and some news of production woes (what HUGE feature doesn’t have them?) we’re finally getting to see the epic vision for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah starring Crowe as the Biblical hero. This is supposed to be a mammoth production, without question the biggest film Aronofsky has ever tackled, and filled with painstakingly rendered CGI animals. A lot of what we’re seeing is quick cuts, basically an extended teaser, but it looks sensational. Enjoy!
In Aronofsky’s film he puts his spin on the Biblical Noah, the man who suffers visions of an apocalyptic deluge and takes measures to protect his family from the coming flood. The studio also released the first poster and it looks slick.
Directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring a spectacular cast that includes Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Dakota Goyo, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Durand, Anthony Hopkins (as Methuselah) and Russell Crowe as the titular Noah, Paramount Pictures has slated this epic event for wide release next Spring on March 24th, 2014.
