Today is a special day in time. It was 64 years ago, today, that one of my favorite actors, Sylvester Stallone, was born in Hell’s Kitchen New York. He’s had quite a resume and has made an indellible mark in Hollywood with some very iconic characters.
Admittedly, like any actor really, he’s taken some missteps but as per the advice he wrote for one of his most famous film heroes, “It ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!“.
Sly, here’s wishing you a happy 64th birthday!! To commemorate, here is a concise little tribute video I found devoted to the man of the hour (sorry, video quality is a little low):

Also, in case any of you weren’t pumped up enough for The Expendables, here’s a clip from the movie. It just looks soooo damn awesome. Man, I can’t wait until August 13th!! Enjoy!

And………….he’s still a believable action hero. It’s bananas. Utterly bananas. I can’t wait for The Expendables. I hope I’m not disappointed, but aside from Inception it is the film I’m most excited about this year.

Wow, I’m so much in agreement with what you just wrote that I could have sworn I wrote it…except I would never use the term utterly bananas:P
