Recently Pixar has been unveiled more characters, photos, posters and just recently, a stunning triptych for you to drool over. John Lasseter’s vision for Cars 2 is quite inspired where he imagines that the legendary lemons of the automotive world (The Gremlin and the Pacer seen below) are criminal masterminds. Funnier than that (for the kids really) is how Mater responds to foreign environments while Lightning is traveling around the world for the Race of Champions. It’s just an all out James Bond film that finds Mater in a ‘Hitchcockian’ case of mistaken identity. Man I just can’t wait to see this.
The North By Northwest inspired plot is a lot more intriguing than the heartfelt (but slower paced) story in the original film. Cars 2 will be presented in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D theaters this year on June 24th, 2011. Anyone excited for this?? These snazzy visuals doing anything for you??
