    Sweet Trailer…’Black Sea’

Jude Law wowed film fans this year in Dom Hemingway, Richard Shepard’s hilarious story about a retired safe-cracker. It really was the role of a lifetime for Law (check out our review here). But now, his next film finds him playing a character just as complex only far less animated. In Black Sea, Law plays a rogue submarine captain who, with a crew as reckless as he, is searching the depths of the titular Black Sea for sunken treasure. Sounds good to us, but if you’re not convinced, have a look at the first trailer below… A suspenseful adventure thriller directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald, centering on a rogue submarine…

    Ohhh, Look…’Mortdecai’ Character Posters

Normally, we don’t put up a post just to feature a poster. But today, we got our hands on something that was too good not to share. Lionsgate certainly knows what kind of movie Mortdecai is, and they are having some real fun with the marketing that’s for sure. The film has an amazing cast, but if you ever found yourself asking, “what would those fine thespians look like were they to sport Johnny Depp’s mustache?, then today is the day you get your answer. Aside from the joke, there’s something genuinely funny about the film (well from the trailer at least). Mordecai (starring Johnny Depp) seems like the best Rowan Atkinson movie not…

    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…’Inside Out’

After months (years, really) of waiting, Pixar Studios is finally ready to share the crazy idea from the mind of Pete Docter. Yes, that opening statement is a bit inside, but that’s the whole point! His latest film is called Inside Out and will take us to the most extraordinary location of all — inside the mind. It deals with the individual emotions of a young girl and stars Mindy Kaling, Bill Hader, Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith as well as the one and only Lewis Black who, of course, is playing Anger. Surprise, surprise. Not only is this the long-awaited follow up feature from the Oscar-winning Docter, but Inside Out…

You’re there to enjoy the fest after all, so the main thing is that you don’t get burned out. Pace yourselves dear friends, pace yourselves. In 2012 I learned that sometimes a festival…

    [Fantastic Fest Review]…V/H/S: Viral

Horror anthologies don’t come along all that often. But thanks to Brad Miska, fans of Creepshow, and similar short-form storytelling would no longer lament the lack of fantastic but short glimpses into strange horror themed universes. V/H/S, and its sequel, went all out and brought the idea of “found footage” horror to new levels. Depending on who you talk to, you’ll likely find people praising one film over the other, but each has its fair share of exceptional segments that stay with you long after lights come up. So here we are with an equally enjoyable and effective third outing which shows strong signs that this series has found its…
