    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…’Room’

Both highly suspenseful and deeply emotional, Room is a unique and unexpectedly tender exploration of the boundless love between a mother and her child under the most harrowing of circumstances. At once a taut narrative of captivity and freedom, an imaginative trip into the wonders of childhood, and a profound portrait of a family’s bonds and fortitude, Room is a beautifully transcendent experience based on the award-winning global bestseller by Emma Donoghue. Lenny Abrahamson‘s  film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (as a Special Presentation) before its theatrical release. Enjoy the teaser trailer below… Room tells the extraordinary story of Jack (Jacob Tremblay in a breakout performance), a spirited 5 year-old…

    Sweet Trailer…’Spotlight’

We are die-hard Michael Keaton fans and Birdman (read our glowing review here) was everything we could have wanted – both for a story and for him as an actor. In his latest film, Keaton gets back into the world of journalism, which seems to be a theme. Anyone remember The Paper, or Live From Baghdad? Everyone knows he’s got the chops for a multitude of dramatic stories, but we would love to see another foray into comedy. Wishful thinking, but we’ll see anything he’s in without fail. So for now, Spotlight looks solid. Enjoy the trailer below… SPOTLIGHT is a tense investigative thriller, tracing the steps to one of the biggest crime stories in…

Sweet Trailer…’13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi’

If there’s one filmmaker who makes the films that he wants to see, regardless of what the critics say, it’s got to be Michael Bay. A bit of a change from his standard overblown (emphasis on both over and blown) blockbuster fare, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is a slightly more sophisticated Bay film. We are fans of his Bayness and while it already looks like he’ll dazzle us with his visuals and cinematography, Steve Jablonsky is also on board to offer his musical energy to this pensive and action-packed thriller. Enjoy the first trailer below… An American Ambassador is killed during an attack at a U.S. compound…

    G-S-T Review…Ant-Man

If you think that comic book movies have reached their potential, and have gotten far too gritty and realistic, Ant-Man is the perfect palate cleanser. What is amazing about the film is that, barring the drama from Edgar Wright’s withdrawal, it works at all. A highly unlikely hero, and a diamond in the rough, Paul Rudd brings charm, delight, and that working class hero appeal to the role of Scott Lang (even though he is a burglar in the film). Ant-Man works on multiple levels and mainly, much like the success of famous horror movies, the familial element is what keeps this from being just a mindless, confusing and overblown action piece…
