In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan.
With equal parts sarcasm and action, thanks in large part to James Gunn and the spectacular cast he’s assembled, this looks to be an insanely fun outing. Reminiscent of The Fifth Element (in style and the hybrid sci-fi approach) and delivering a roller-coaster ride of visuals and humor Marvel just might be able to pull off the intergalactic tale about these unlikely space misfits. Did we expect anything less from the man who gave us Slither, Super and of course The Specials?
Guardians of the Galaxy stars a vastly eclectic mix of actors including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, John C. Reilly, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Rooker, Benecio del Toro, as well as Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel voicing Rocket and Groot respectively. Directed by James Gunn (Super) this otherworldly adventure is slated for wide release this Summer on August 1st, 2014.
