Once in a while we get a sci-fi film, or any genre flick for that matter, that takes a worn idea and turns it on its side. Well, Denis Villeneuve (director Sicario, Prisoners) has literally turned sci-fi on its side (the ships anyway) in this awesome trailer for his upcoming feature. Wait, didn’t Ridley Scott already do that in the beginning of Prometheus? Eh, doesn’t matter. This looks awesome, so enjoy the new official movie trailer for Arrival.
When mysterious spacecrafts touch down across the globe, an elite team – lead by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
