These days, we don’t really post trailers. But once in a while, something drops that is too good to pass up. Case in point, the hilarious-looking preview for the upcoming action comedy, Killing Gunther, starring former Mr. Universe, The Governator himself, the one and only Ah-nuld. Much in the same way Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon was both a spoof and heartfelt homage to a beloved genre (highly recommend btw), this lets Arnie have a lot of fun doing what he does best: blowing things up and leaving a wake of debris, bodies and killer taglines. If you’re a fan of ’80s cinema (and since we’ll never get a True Lies sequel), then you can’t miss this. Enjoy!
A group of eccentric assassins are fed up with Gunther, the world’s greatest hit-man and decide to kill him but their plan turns into a series of bungled encounters as Gunther seems to always be one step ahead.
Written and directed by Taran Killam, the film stars Cobie Smulders, Hannah Simone and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Currently, Saban Films has set Killing Gunther for release in theaters as well as VOD this Fall on October 20.
