From director Tomas Alfredson comes the espionage throwback adaptation of John Le Carré’s best-selling novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Like Munich before it, this looks like a well crafted retro-styled spy thriller of the highest caliber. Sporting a highly impressive cast featuring Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Ciarán Hinds, Stephen Graham and John Hurt just to name a few, this all star line-up looks sure to please. But have a look as this seems, even for a teaser of less than perfect quality, like it’s firing on all the right cyllinders. Enjoy…
(Note: We’ll get a proper trailer of higher quality as soon as it becomes available)
Known for the stellar vampire film Let the Right One In, Alfredson has a supreme knack for stylized period pieces. While I haven’t read the novel, this seems like it’ll be a very layered and slow-boil approach to the spy game which I find very fitting for a thriller. Also Gary Oldman sounds like he’s channeling John Hurt which is funny because John Hurt’s in the movie with him:P Anyway with a similar atmospheric look to Let the Right One In, I’m very eager to see more of this prior to its release. Studio Canal has set Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy to hit theaters this Fall on November 18th, 2011. How’s it look so far? Is anyone not outright thrilled at the all-star cast??

o__0 Well Anna, I don’t know if that’s what Brad Bird was going for when he made this but I’d call that a win:P So I guess that means you’ve got your ticket already?
