    Dallas Filmmakers Make Sundance Line-Up

    Yesterday, The Sundance Institute announced their 2013 line-up of US and World Cinema Competition films as well as films in their NEXT program line-up. As several of us from the Go, See, Talk team are Dallasites, we were delighted to see some familiar Dallas names associated with films that made the list.     A few months back we learned that Hammer films was going to make a sequel to their  worldwide box office hit The Woman In Black. News just broke today which claims BAFTA nominated director Tom Harper (The Scouting Book for Boys, BBC Channel 4’s “Misfits”) has signed on to direct the next installment in the series titled The Woman in Black: Angel of Death.     Next week, the largest genre film festival in the US will kick off in little old Austin TX. Lots of awesome films have already been announced and recently we’ve been teased with some sweet looking short films.     2012 Fantastic Fest Update – RED DAWN World Premiere/Closing Night Film

    Well here’s how a festival takes the fun of a film and stretches it into something fans can appreciate. News from FF HQ is that The Wolverines are infiltrating Fantastic Fest to defend all that is good and American! The world premiere of FilmDistrict’s Red Dawn will close Fantastic Fest, on Thursday, September 27, with stars Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki in attendance.     Sweet! Just got a little heads up from the Pixar camp about the sequel to Monsters, Inc. It seems that Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan, that inseparable pair, weren’t always best of friends. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. This sequel, or prequel really, Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
