Sweet Trailer…’X-Men: Apocalypse’
Well here’s a fine way to end the week. What is likely the last comic book trailer we’ll get this year, this 2 minute and 33 second teaser is the equivalent of Bryan Singer dropping the mic on 2015. The X-Men films have gotten better since Matthew Vaughn’s First Class and Singer’s return to Marvel with Days of Future Past. So, rounding out this prequelogy (pretty sure that’s not really a thing, but it sounds neat) is the impressive looking X-Men: Apocalypse. Due out next May, 2016 is going to be a comic book smack down of epic proportions, both on-screen and at the box office. Enjoy this first trailer…

Sweet Trailer…'X-Men: Days of Future Past'
While some weren’t too fond of Matthew Vaughn’s entry to the X-Men franchise (don’t know how that’s possible, we happened to LOVE it) it seems Fox though they could do better. So how might that be achieved? Well one idea would be to bring in some big guns and so Fox was able to coax Bryan Singer back for another adventure with his X-babies. The trailer just dropped for the sequel to 2011’s X-Men: First Class and as our header states it is SWEET! If this isn’t a sure fire way to kick off the (early) Summer season next year then I don’t know what will. For now, enjoy!…then later mark your…

'Days of Future Past' Cast to Include Paquin, Page, and Ashmore
Unlike many, I didn’t find myself falling head over heels for X-Men: First Class; it’s decent, but I can’t praise a movie wholesale for being a few rungs higher on the ladder than X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Taking my sustained indifference toward the series into account, I may be utterly the wrong person to report on any news coming from the set of the latest picture in the X-franchise, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Except that Bryan Singer has piqued my interest in the project courtesy of his Twitter-originating casting announcement this past Saturday. It’s already been revealed that the film will see Ian McKellen and…

Sweet Trailer…'Trance'
I have a feeling deep in my gut that Trance— Danny Boyle’s follow up to 2010’s 127 Hours— inevitably will draw a lot of comparisons to another trippy, mind-bending film about theft, reality, deception, and the nature of memory by a certain well-liked British filmmaker. But Boyle isn’t Christopher Nolan; he never has been and he never will be, and that’s a good thing. How will Boyle handle a film about a thief (James McAvoy), an art auctioneer (Vincent Cassell), a hypnotist (Rosario Dawson), and the search to recover a lost, stolen painting? In a word, artfully. Have a look for yourself and see what you think: More interesting than…

Bryan Singer Reveals Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart Will Return For 'Days of Future Past'
Bryan Singer thrilled the film (and comic) world when it was announced that he would step up for the next X-Men film after Matthew Vaughn bowed out. All things considered, X-Men: First Class was an amazing success and Vaugn would have probably done just a good a job with his second at bat. But that was then and now that Singer is back he’s going to try on even bigger pants than he started with more than a decade ago. As the premise for the latest X-Men film is quite a departure from the grounded narrative with social commentary that Singer started the series with, the themes are still familiar and relevant.…
