Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California on its newest Super Hero franchise Ant-Man. The film brings one of Marvel comics’ original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU). The production also shoots on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production. Set for release in the United States next Summer, the film is directed by Peyton Reed (Bring it On, The Break-Up) and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas (The Game, Wall Street) as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly (“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Lost”) as Hope Van…

'Thor 2' Set Images Toe the Camp Line

Courtesy of an article published yesterday on Bleeding Cool, we now have our first glimpse of the dark elves of Thor: The Dark World, along with an individual figure who is 99% likely to be Chris Eccleston suited up in his role as Malekith the Accursed, the film’s heavy. Sweet Trailer…'Iron Man 3'
Well, we all knew this was coming, so let’s skip the preamble shall we? For my part, I’m tempering my reaction to this footage with caution. I’ve been burned before by great Iron Man trailers that failed to live up to their promise. Frankly, I don’t want to be in that position again, and so I’m taking the wary path. That said, there’s a lot in here that has piqued my curiosity and interest– namely Ben Kingsley’s voice and appearance as the Mandarin, and also the hint that he’ll actually represent such a real threat to Tony that the film will actually have stakes and tension.
