Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California on its newest Super Hero franchise Ant-Man. The film brings one of Marvel comics’ original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU). Sam Mendes Confirmed to Direct 24th James Bond Film
After much deliberation about whether or not Sam Mendes would indeed return to direct the next Bond film, today the film’s producers and executives announced that not only will Daniel Craig be returning as the legendary British secret agent in the 24th James Bond film, Mendes will also return to direct the screenplay written by John Logan. Great news for James Bond Fans! Mendes recently stated his theatre commitments to direct King Lear and Charlie and the Chocolate Factor would leave him unable to direct the film, but after the success of Skyfall producers were willing to work around Mendes’ schedule. Max Landis Set to Direct, Not Write, 'Me Him Her'
Well, here’s a cool bit of news from Variety: Max Landis, A.K.A “Son of Landis” and the man behind this year’s sleeper hit Chronicle, is going to step out from behind the keyboard and settle right down into the director’s chair. According to the press release, it looks like he’s going to be at the helm for Big Beach Films’ comedy project Me Him Her. After Chronicle, seeing Landis take on a comedy– particularly a comedy focusing on three twenty-something leads dealing with what sounds like an array of sexual identity crises– may strike a few out there as being somewhat odd at first blush. Woah, Netflix and Starz Entertainment Part Ways
As if news of the Netflix pricing increase (or jack if you ask me) wasn’t enough of a blow to loyal Netfilx customers, today’s news is another unexpected body blow. For those who have fallen in love with the Instant Feature, this will sadden you to hear that Starz (who is gives Netflix a huge portion of the Instant titles) has decided not to re-up the existing content deal. Translation: the 1,000+ movies offered in the Netflix Watch Instantly service will not be offered once the current contract expires in February 2012. Wow, talk about a hay-maker huh? For those interested have a look at the official press release after the jump:

'Monsters University' Details Emerge From D23 Expo
This year’s D23 Expo had one impressive line up. Those in attendance were hosted to a smorgasbord of unveilings and news that the Pixar plate looked to be booked solid for the next few years. One of the hi-lights was the long awaited (and worked on apparently) follow up, err prequel to 2001’s Monsters Inc. Going in the way back machine, this “before the fact” story will again follow Mike Wazowski and James P Sullivan but this time showing them in their college days. Pretty exciting to say the least right? Yeah I thought so too. There’s more on the story and its development after the jump…

While You Were Out…12/6 – 12/10
Hello World, Marc Here: I’ve been pretty busy with work and holiday planning, so I have decided to add a new section to Go, See,Talk called “While You Were Out“. In short, it’ll be a round up of sorts, allowing anyone (e.g. Me) who took their finger of the the pulse of the film world to play catch up… So from time to time if I don’t post as often during a week it’s probably because I have a lot on my plate. But don’t worry because I’ll be writing one of these to capture all the best parts of the week in one concise post and much like the…
