G-S-T Review…The Sweeney
Gritty cop yarns aren’t what they used to be, literally. Police procedural stories no longer demand that their central characters be squeaky clean and pure to a fault; today, we want our television and movie cops to have pathos, to be flawed, and sometimes– maybe oftentimes– do whatever they have to in their pursuit of a crook. Maybe that’s a reflection of modern society, or maybe audiences just grew bored with archetypal goody two-shoes hero cops. Either way, ours is a…

The 2012 cinematic marketing campaigns are in full vigor it seems, boasting trailers almost as epic as the films they’re advertising. The AMAZING trailer for Prometheus hit on Saturday (which funny enough also stars Charlize Theron) and hitting just as hard is this one for Rupert Sanders’ Snow White & the Huntsman. Enjoy… Snow White & the Huntsman (#SWATH for short) star Kristin Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron and features the talents of Ian McShane,…

Sweet Trailer…'Snow White & The Huntsman' – UPDATED
Wow! I knew this other Snow White movie was going for a larger and grittier tone but I wasn’t expecting this. From Universal Pictures comes the Rupert Sanders directed take on the Snow White story we all know…or think we know. Combining the looks of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with a scale on par with anything Ridley Scott has ever done this just floored me. Enough words, just watch…oh and sorry for the short ad below. Enjoy!! Going for a rather heavy and dark spin on the famous fairytale this looks, as I kind of imagined, waaay more interesting and captivating than the upcoming Tarsem Singh film Mirror, Mirror. Can’t say much…
