    Sweet Trailer…[REC] 3

If there’s one series that has really benefited from the found footage style of filmmaking it’s Paco Plaza and Jaume Balaguero‘s [REC]. Yes Paranormal Activity has done well but these days, most horror films shot this way would be a stretch to get people on board for anything past the first film. But here comes [REC]3, as both a prequel and a sequel to show us where the madness all started. Here is the trailer for the duo’s third zombified outing. Have a look… [REC]3 is the first of two sequels titled Genesis and Apocalypse. The first two films were co-directed by Plaza and Balaguero, but now the duo is pairing off with Placa taking Genesis and Balaguero, Apocalypse. As a…

    G-S-T Review…Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows

Editor’s Note: Go,See,Talk presents this review of Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows as the debut entry from our guest contributing writer Bill Graham. He’s going to be making some more appearances on G-S-T in the next few weeks so have a look at what he had to say about the sequel to Guy Ritchie’s 2009 blockbuster and offer your thoughts below. As a movie-goer, I value my time. So often the inflated budgets of the modern blockbuster results in an obese runtime that attempts to show off as much of that cost as it can. At times it feels like the length of the film is, for better or worse, directly related…

    Ohhh, Look…'The Expendables 2' Poster

The follow-up behemoth to Sly Stallone’s machismo opus The Expendables is currently filming and today the first official theatrical poster has been released. Earlier this week the teaser trailer dropped and while short, it did what a trailer does best; pique your interest. Have a look at the poster below and get ready for the Simon West directed action overload next Summer…

    Sweet Trailer…'G.I. JOE: Retaliation'

From director Jon M. Chu comes this somewhat related sequel to Stephen Sommers’ G.I. JOE: The Rise of Cobra. Picking up with the brilliant plot-line that (spoiler!!) covertly put Cobra in the White House, Zartan in now acting as The President of the United States. Under his orders, the G.I. Joes have been hunted down and eliminated…or so we think. The few who survived the massacre are now going head-to-head with the Zartan, and the world leaders he has under his influence, to clear their names. Yo Joe! Tell me that wasn’t the least bit awesome! I seriously geeked out at the Cobra banners on The White House. Doesn’t that just seem like something right out of the cartoon? It…

    Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…'Happy Feet 2'

Riding on the crest of that wildly popular “penguin craze” of the mid 2000’s came a little animated film called Happy Feet. It was funny, cute, had a pretty noteworthy cast, breathtakingly realistic visuals (not to mention seamless integration of live action characters) and a not so preachy message. Well that was back in 2006 and now here we are getting back to that lovable bunch of Antartic dwelling sing-songy inhabitants. Have a look…even if this time they’re singing dreadful songs. I highly enjoyed the first film and loved both the characters and the music. This time it looks like they’re really going after a slightly different/younger (read: American Idol)…

Constantine Sequel 'May' Be On the Horizon

Water For Elephants is out in theaters and Francis Lawrence is on a PR tour promoting it. Mrs. Go,See,Talk saw it (without me) but as always the case, it’s not like the book which is why she wasn’t very compelled to write a review. Sorry folks. Anyway, the video below has him talking briefly with MTV and more to the point of the post, he talks about his adaptation of the Hellblazer comic. Fans of the film and those eager for a sequel, this might just be of interest to you…although it still just sounds like more pillow talk and rumors.

Ohhh, Look…Another New 'Kung Fu Panda 2' Character

Last month we posted 6 of the new characters in Dreamworks’ upcoming sequel to Kung Fu Panda. Well today we have one new addition to the line up…one, well I guess you can’t really call henchmen one new character, but you get the idea. Also, we have some much nicer looking shots of the other characters below. Have a look and enjoy… The Gorillas are the muscle in Lord Shen’s army. From the looks of him I wonder if this guy walks down the street singing, “I ain’t happy, I’m feeling glad, I got sunshine in a bag,  I’m useless but not for long. The future is coming on…“. Sorry, I couldn’t…

    Jack Sparrow’s Comic-Con Announcement

There are a handful of sequels (and threequels) I can recall which have had completely unflattering efforts that are nothing short of insulting to some fans. Case in point: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. All that great build-up with 2 awesome films and what did we get? Just an awful, awful mess. As to keep hope alive and whet the die hard fans’ appetites, the end of the film was like a precursor of things to come where they hinted at yet another grand adventure of Captain Jack Sparrow. But after an ending like that, who really cared? That film put me off the series and that’s been my firm…

Off the Netflix Queue…'The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day'

Being a huge fan of the original cult classic, I should have been excited to see the loooong rumored and even longer in-development sequel. Since the fallout of Troy Duffy, as depicted in Overnight (which is somewhat of a smear campaign), it seemed like no one would take a chance on Duffy and without significant funding the sequel would never have happened. But like the little engine that could, Duffy got the sequel that no one thought would see the light of day made. And the outcome? In short it was sooo much better than I was expecting from the dreadful looking trailers. Well I’d say I’m eating my words.
