Now that the saga of the Cullens is breaking dawn, I mean winding down (and we’re not going to see The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner on the big screen) what will fans of Stephanie Meyer do? Well there’s always fan-fiction and aside from reading/watching the series again and again, they can start getting excited about Meyer’s other fairly popular novel The Host. Going for a sci-fi angle this time, Meyer’s story is about an alien invasion and focuses on one of the last humans who chooses to fight back. Not much to it but it’s got an interesting premise. Have a look…
The Host stars Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder the girl who takes a stand against the aliens, called The Souls, who take over a human’s consciousness. Doesn’t sound like ships, lasers or things that go boom but hopefully it’ll be pretty neat. Directed by Andrew Niccol and also starring Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel and Max Irons, The Host is set to invade, er, hit theaters a year from now on March 29th, 2013. Anyone teased, pleased or indifferent??
