Whether you rent or buy movies, Blu-ray offers the ultimate in sight and sound. Streaming is convenient, but if you plan on watching the movie more than once, you need Blu. So, What’s New On Blu? you ask. Well, good, bad or indifferent, Go,See,Talk offers up a number of titles that are being released each week. Check out what’s hitting the shelves this week…

A swat team arrives at a rundown apartment block with a mission to remove its owner, a notorious drug lord named Tama. The building has never been raided before, never been touched by police. Seen as a no go zone it has since become a sanctuary to killers, gangs, rapists and thieves seeking accommodation in the one place they know they cannot be touched. The Raid: Redemption is an action packed thrill-ride, making it a must see for serious action junkies. This is one Blu-ray that will be gracing my movie library very soon.
Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.): Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness. With so many action/thriller movies being released this week it may be hard to pick what to buy/watch. Obviously it’s your call, but Kill List is at least worth a rental. Although if if helps, Andrew thinks it’s outstanding.
Blu-ray Release Date (U.S.): Tuesday, August 14, 2012.

Agent Robert Diggs left his career in the FBI to escape the memories of his wife’s death. However, when an unknown vigilante begins killing high-priority terrorists from America’s Most Wanted list, the FBI and CIA request he take on the case. Like I said before, there are so many action packed movies being released this week. The only reason Assassin’s Bullet graced our list this week is to warn you. Don’t be fooled by the cast members gracing the cover of this flop wrapped in clever packaging. We recommend you skip this one.

Dun, dun…dun dun…a giant great white shark arrives on the shores of a New England beach resort and wreaks havoc with bloody attacks on swimmers until a part-time sheriff teams up with a marine biologist and an old seafarer to hunt the monster down. It’s Jaws, it’s Spielberg, and it’s given that this is going to be a must own/upgrade for any and all film fan…so much a given that we didn’t think it was worth mentioning. Thanks for the tip Ryan:P

…no mention of the blu-ray debut of JAWS? Got a glimpse of it recently and it looks *glorious*

D-Oh! Nice catch Ryan, how could we miss that?:P
Well great to know that Jaws looks “glorious”. Just watched E.T. last night and am looking forward to the BD release on that. I guess if Jaws is any indication of quality then I should be a very happy film fan picking that up too:)

I might have to buy the Jaws Blu-Ray tomorrow. I might.
As to the rest– oh, yes. Kill List is amazing, and still haunts me months after I first saw it, while The Raid remains on of the best action movies I’ve seen all year– in fact, one of the best movies period. Really strong week for releases on Blu. Definitely check both of ’em out if you haven’t seen ’em yet, people.
