Fans of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant you can start getting excited about their next project. The hilariously brilliant pair have another show in the works, and this time it stars Warwick Davis (Willow). A combination of The Office and Extras it’ll be a fake documentary focusing on the media and fame and as the pun laden name of the show implies, Warwick will be playing himself. From the looks of it some of the Extras crew (hey, it’s Barry off Eastenders) may be making appearances so that should make funs even happier. Have a look at the preview…
I for one don’t think I’ll ever get tired of Gervais. In front of the screen he’s great (The Office, Extras) and behind it even more so (Cemetery Junction). Don’t really know how much involvenment on screen he or Merchant will have but the concept of the show will focusing Warwick Davis in his day-to-day life, complete with the frustrations he faces. Davis starred in an episode of Extras which like the other 5 in the series was so oddly and uncomfortably hysterical and this looks like it’ll be in the same vein. Life’s Too Short will air later this year on BBC TWO but for you folks stateside, HBO has picked it up too. But what do you think? Look like something you’ll check out?

It’s called An Idiot Abroad on the sci-fi channel. I think the second season is gonna start soon. If you liked the podcasts then you’ll probably this. The only thing the show is lacking is Ricky’s laugh.

Cool, I’ll check it out for sure. Yeah Ricky’s laugh is unique and highly contagious:)

You’re so right, there’s no need to ever get sick of Gervais (unless it turns out that pretend megalomaniac smugness turns out to be not-pretend and ends up ruining his talent). This looks hilarious!
