Sometimes, too many trailers come out in a single week to give them all the individual attention they may deserve. So today I’m trying out something new and doing a trailer catch-all, because of all the teasers that have been release this week, I just can’t choose which ones I want to showcase the most. But why choose when I can just lump them all together in one big post? Let’s cut off the preamble there, let’s start off with: Warm Bodies If after seeing 50/50 last year, someone had told me Jonathan Levine’s next project would essentially be “Twilight with zombies”, I’d have laughed at them. So, really, I’m…

Sweet Trailer…'Side Effects'
You may have seen this trailer already, given that it hit the web on Friday, but Steven Soderbergh’s films generally tend to be worth getting excited for and talking about. So, basically, forgive me for being late to the party. After the string of wins Soderbergh has had recently (2011’s Contagion, this year’s Haywire and, much more notably, Magic Mike), the chameleonic director doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of softening up or slowing down; the trailer for pharmaceutical drama/thriller Side Effects more or less confirms this while also continuing Soderbergh’s habit of keeping to a consistent roster of actors. See for yourself: That’s right: after appearing in both…

Sweet Trailer…'A Good Day To Die Hard'
There is no such thing as having too many Bruce Willis action movies. Admit it, the world is better place because of it. In the next installment of the long running Die Hard series, we again find John McClane running and gunning but doing it all with a trademark wink, a smile and an iconic catch phrase. Last time we looked in on the McClanes we saw Mary Elizabeth Winstead introduced as the grown up Lucy McClane. Now this film, the fifth, puts the focus on his son Jack (played by Jai Courtney) and as you expect, explosions ensue. Enjoy the first theatrical trailer for A Good Day To Die…

Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…Fede Alvarez's 'Evil Dead'
Sam Raimi‘s original Evil Dead is getting an overhaul from one Fede Alvarez. Based on the buzz from NY Comic-Con and the insanity of this teaser trailer, it looks like this might impress all the naysayers…like every. single. one. Now necessity of remakes are subjective and an argument best held elsewhere because today we’re just giving the facts; yes it’s happening and yes it looks good (the latter being the main reason we’re posting it). Then there’s the little added bonus of this getting the seal of approval from Raimi, but we’ll get to that. For now, enjoy!! FYI, it is gruesome so beware!! In the much anticipated remake of…

Sweet Trailer…'Iron Man 3'
Well, we all knew this was coming, so let’s skip the preamble shall we? For my part, I’m tempering my reaction to this footage with caution. I’ve been burned before by great Iron Man trailers that failed to live up to their promise. Frankly, I don’t want to be in that position again, and so I’m taking the wary path. That said, there’s a lot in here that has piqued my curiosity and interest– namely Ben Kingsley’s voice and appearance as the Mandarin, and also the hint that he’ll actually represent such a real threat to Tony that the film will actually have stakes and tension. And of course there’s…

Vintage Litwak's Arcade Game Commercials From Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph'
Back at D23 (and then again for San Diego Comic-Con) Disney unveiled the promo arcade game of Fit It Felix Jr. to promote the upcoming computer animated film Wreck-It Ralph. Then a few weeks ago they released one of their fun vintage trailers as if the actual game existed in the 8-bit arcade era. But as Fit It Felix Jr. is just one of the many games (some real, some made up) in the film, Disney has gone the extra mile and created fake trailers for each of the main games featured in the film. Anyway, the trailer for Hero’s Duty (the Halo inspired game that plays a role in the…

Sweet Trailer…'Tai Chi Zero'
Making waves at the Toronto International Film Festival and surprising lots of genre fans at Fantastic Fest (check out our review) is the insane martial arts flick Tai Chi Zero. A bizarre hybrid of traditional kung fu films (brilliantly choreographed by Sammo Hung) and video games that you have to see to believe. It’s wacky, it’s funny, it’s all kinds of wow and perfect for the ADHD crowd as evidenced by the trailer. Have a look and let absurdity and awesomeness of Tai Chi Zero begin… If that was a bit off putting take a look at the more toned down but impressive first trailer… In the film, the first in a planned series, Yang travels to Chen…

Sweet Trailer…'Jack Reacher'
When it comes to action, Tom Cruise isn’t known for playing by the rules. As an operative, agent, even a vampire, he’s known to put the hurt on someone. So when justice needs to be done, he goes full on vigilante. We got just a taste of the bad-assery to come this Winter in the teaser for Jack Reacher, but now we get an deeper and more incendiary look at this story…Enjoy!! When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting…

First Official Teaser for 'Carrie'
MGM’s remake of Brian De Palma’s classic teen horror film, Carrie, is a very, very real thing, and the release of the first official trailer for the project solidifies that fact. We’ve seen posters and production stills featuring star Chloë Grace Moretz in what’s clearly the film’s last act; maybe unsurprisingly, the teaser, seen below, continues holding the party line by displaying Ms. Moretz in full crimson-soaked attire. Is there no other way to sell this picture than to point to its finale? If anything, the footage appears to confirm the murmurings that Kimberly Peirce intends to keep the film closer to Stephen King’s original story; while it’s a short clip, it’s…

Sweet 2nd Trailer…'Django Unchained'
It’s tough to believe it’s been 4 whole months since we got our first look at Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained. Well they say that good things are worth waiting for because this trailer is all kinds of awesome. Featuring QT’s razor sharp writing and some of the finest acting talent on the planet, this looks like the movie to beat this year (sorry Hobbit) and will make one helluva Christmas present. No more talk…enjoy!! Starring Oscar-winners Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Oscar-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio this follow-up to Inglourious Basterds can be expected to be equally saturated in great writing, superb acting and memorable characters/exchanges. Oh, man we can’t wait for this!! The Weinstien Company and Columbia Pictures have Django Unchained (“the D is silent“) scheduled to hit…
