Following on the heels of The Expendables trailer comes another bad-ass looking actioner, replete with blockbuster-esqe explosions for your viewing entertainment! Not being a big fan of the TV show, I can’t claim to be for or against this adaptation, but the first trailer looked pretty good. After all, you can’t lose with Liam Neeson in your movie, now can you? I have to say that this one looks like another bang-up trailer, but I’ll let you decide. Here’s something I wasn’t really interested in until now. Jason Statham is going to star in The Mechanic which is the remake of the classic Charles Bronson flick of the same name. But what is a “Mechanic” you ask? Well I can tell you it’s not A. a crooked card dealer B. someone who repairs your car or C. someone who tinkers with small clocks. It is, infact, someone who is an expert assassin but one who has no current affiliation with any Armed Forces. Basically a quasi-sophisticated “hit man”. I haven’t really been to keen to the neo-horror classic reboots (as they have fallen way short in living up to the originals) but something has surfaced today making me reevaluate my previous stance. The second full trailer for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake has surfaced and I am actually quite drawn to it. The reason you ask? Well it’s probably a culmination of three points. 1. Sweet Trailer…’The Last Airbender’
While I was away in Australia, it seems I missed some things…like the Superbowl, the commercials and this trailer for M. Night Shyamalan‘s adaptation of the American Anime The Last Airbender. Now I’ve said this many times before, but it bears repeating. I’ve never seen an episode of the show but I know that it is wildly popular. Also, M. Night is a huge fan, so his decision to make this film is a personal one and he’ll be putting his heart into it. Sweet (teaser) Trailer…'The Company Men'
Last year we wrote about the upcoming Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Ben Affleck film The Company Men. Honestly I forgot about it and thanks to this teaser, it’s back on my radar. Well I wouldn’t even call it a teaser because aside from the SD quality, I don’t think it looks official in any way shape or form. Even the music (which I really really like as it sounds like something from E.S. Posthumus) doesn’t make me feel like this is a real movie as it looks nothing more than some fan made trailer. Oh now this is good news to start the week off!! The 2nd Kick-Ass trailer debuted on Friday and all I have to say is that I may have another film now running neck and neck with The Expendables and Robin Hood for most anticipated film of 2010. I think everyone, by now, should already be aware of and excited for this movie so I won’t take up any more time writing about it.
