Well summer is almost here and with Texas being humid as usual, here’s a little visual relief from the heat… [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TEk0GI5VDM] Whiteout is WB’s newest thriller starring Kate Beckinsale (oh, what a hottie). From First Showing.com we get the following: Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) is a lone U.S. Marshal assigned to Antarctica whose investigation of the continent’s first murder draws her into a shocking mystery. Now, with only three days until winter, Carrie must solve the crime before Antarctica is plunged into darkness and she is stranded with the killer. Whiteout is directed by ex-music video director Dominic Sena, of Gone in Sixty Seconds and Swordfish previously. The screenplay was…

Sweet Trailer…'[REC]2′ – Teaser
Just file this under “A” for “awesome” and enjoy an early weekend. After seeing this over-the-top teaser for the sequel to the cult smash [REC], please feel free to call in sick tomorrow and start a fan club to await the day this film is released in the US. OK, that may be a bit much but this trailer looks AMAZING!! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bUx_-p_dN4] I like that this is, what looks like, a direct continuation of events in [REC], where a response team enters the same building and begins shooting up the inhabitants. Funny enough, I actually just saw Quarantine, the American remake of [REC], Tuesday night and I loved it, so…

Sweet Trailer…’Toy Story 3′ Teaser
Thinking back on the achievements of Pixar, they really are the best in the business. Having all but defined what a CGI film should be, they continue to improve and ultimately amaze, delight and just plain win over audiences. Since everyone knows that Toy Story was really their big break, I’m glad that they have explored so many other stories and characters instead of trying to ride out, what could have been, a “one trick pony”. The efforts of John Lasseter and more recently Brad Bird have created, in my opinion, “perfect films” in terms of plot, characters and content. Also they have been able to create the type of…

Sweet Trailer…'The Goods'
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmgpuscHjDE] This movie looks sort of funny and I think it just might have the right amount of wit, independent charm and dumb humor to work. Although in my viewing experience, films with “redband” trailers just don’t turn out to be very good. It seems like a studio only puts out a ”redband” trailer when they’re not sure the movie is going to succeed, and they can’t promote it well enough with just an “All Audiences” trailer. The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard is directed by Neal Brennan, who is making his directorial debut. His notoriety includes some episodes of “Chappelle’s Show” and the TV movie Totally Awesome previously. This film’s…

Finally…the 'Sherlock Holmes' Trailer
Well it looks as if the wait is over (for the trailer anyway)…we’ve finally been given a taste of Guy Ritchie’s take on Sherlock Holmes. I’ve written before about how big of a Guy Ritchie fan I am and how was excited about this film’s existence and development. Throw in uber-talent like Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Strong and I think we’ve got one great story in store for us. So if you’ve not seen this in the past 2 days, sit back, relax and get ready for a Sherlock Holmes story that “ain’t your grandpa’s Sherlock Holmes”. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4K3aM5H5KM] I’m very eager to see this but like all great things…

Sweet Trailer…’Hurt Locker’
Kind of a ho-hum day at the end of a long week. I saw this trailer for The Hurt Locker and thought I’d pass it on although I haven’t heard much about its development. Unfortunately, this trailer doesn’t highlight some of the heavy acting talent on board…namely Guy Pearce and Ralph Fiennes. This movie reminds me of The Kingdom and Stop-Loss (which for an MTV Movie, was actually really good). I don’t have any other opinions except it looks cool and I’d like to see it… [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVohGnZ5E0E] But like I always say, the Trailer Industry is a crafty little demon. Let’s wait and see on this one. Anyone out there…

Sweet (Teaser) Trailer…’Hunter Prey’
Well yesterday I mentioned it and today it has been revealed: The “teaser” for Sandy Collora’s Hunter Prey. I09.com has the exclusive info on the project and the teaser trailer which just looks very slick in a ‘retro’ way. It has that indie feel that Collora gave to Dead End had but since this is a feature length film they put a little more budget and styling into it. To me this seems exactly what the first Star Wars must have felt like when it premiered: a little unknown movie that surprised everyone and later became the sci-fi behemoth it is today. I’m not saying it will be the next…

Sweet Trailer…’The Hangover’ Round 2
Since the first ‘teaser’ for The Hangover came out, all my friends have done nothing but talk about how bad they want to see this film. I’m going to agree with them, since our last post I still think the teaser is hilarious every time I watch it. So to make the eager fans even happier, the full length “trailer” has debuted and for your enjoyment you can see it here at First Showing, or below with slightly lesser video quality. Enjoy!! Sweet Trailer…'The Hangover' Teaser
I was looking on First Showing and saw this hilarious trailer (teaser actually) for The Hangover. I won’t bother trying to describe the plot as its all summed up in the trailer. This particular trailer is very well done and I think this film will be a winner, so I’m really looking forward to it. Mark your calendars for June 5th, but for now, enjoy this teaser… P.S. For a better quality trailer head on over to First Showing and take a look!!
