Speed and efficiency can be powerful tools when you’re trying to create something. Knowing your resources, staying in your lane, and finishing when promised all sound easy to do but take a lot of work to execute. Take for example a two-plus hour feature length film being shot in just seven days. Seven.
Such is the case for Trenton McKay Judson‘s 2025 film. Shot in Mineola, TX, it is structured like a Western and Judson (who wrote, directs, and stars in the film) plays the town bully. The rub is that he and his goons have pissed off the wrong townie. But that should not be a surprise as the logline quickly gets the point across: a small-town businesswoman wreaks havoc on a local gang after they tear her community apart. See? Just like a Western.
Judson has a wild time behind the camera and in front of it as the story is full of themes including (but not limited to) female vigilantism, mental health, abuse, deep friendships, surrogate father figures, then there’s beat poetry and a pair of quasi musical numbers. And the film explores all of that before leading to a showdown with the eponymous heroine who’s decided she’s had enough.
To help bring this to life, Judson’s producing partner Lizbeth Cazares came in with plenty of resources and a decade of experience. Liz has a Broadcast background and has worked on a variety of Primetime content such as Netflix’s Documentary Special with Jake Paul & Mike Tyson, Emmy Award winning TV Show Top Chef, as well as Paramount+ Special OPs: Lioness starring Zoe Saldaña. Her Hispanic upbringing and passion for film makes her a stellar Producer, being able to bring together many groups of people for a project no matter how big or small.
We chatted with Trenton and Liz about their efforts to get this made on today’s podcast. Bad Bitch will be released on MAY 16th on Tubi where you can check it out (for free) or purchase it from Amazon Prime.

A relentless smalltown businesswoman takes on a ruthless local gang, seeking justice and retribution as she fights to rebuild her shattered community.
