Tim Burton‘s adaptation of the TV show Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp, will hit theaters this May. A few weeks ago the first trailer hit the web and I have to say it looked surprisingly good. Delightful with Burton’s signature combination of creepy/cheerful story and characters. Well if you missed it we have it posted below but right now, have a look at these 9 vibrant character posters from Apple. Annnd here’s the trailer in case you missed it… Directed by Tim Burton and starring an impressive cast featuring Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Grace Moretz, Johnny Lee Miller, Jackie Earle Haley, and Michelle Pfeiffer, Dark Shadows…

Sweet Trailer…'Free Samples'
For those in the mood for something a little less Hollywood, this might be up your alley. This deliciously indie-feeling and quirky drama stars Jess Weixler as Jillian, a Stanford law-school dropout, who is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. On the day of her college boyfriend’s birthday, she finds herself stuck running an ice cream truck fending off Los Angeles locals and oddball friends alike. Free Samples takes place all in one day and shows Jillian waking from her aimless daze as she begins to see that life doesn’t stop just because she wants it to. Check out the trailer below and thanks to The Film…

Documentary ‘Bully’ Will Be Released Unrated (and Unedited)
The Weinstein Company’s powerful and much criticized documentary Bully will be hitting select theaters this weekend. Over the last few weeks there had been much debate (and controversy) due to the rating of this particular doc. As the titles suggests, it deals with bullying; a problem in schools that is abundant enough to deem it an epidemic. Yet for as much as the doc does to bring the problem to light, the MPAA just can’t get past the two F-bombs in it which automatically label it with an R-rating regardless of the overall content. Public and critical disagreement with the MPAA is nothing new but if there’s one man who will go toe-to-toe with them…

Sweet Trailer…'Sleepless Night'
The first US, not to mention highly praised, trailer for Tribeca Film’s Sleepless Night has hit the web. Written & directed by French filmmaker Frédéric Jardin and co-written by Nicolas Saada, the film follows a police officer (played by Tomer Sisley) who gets mixed up with a night club owner/drug lord. When he’s double crossed and his son Thomas is taken hostage, he goes all out to rescue him, facing obstacles both good and bad, from Internal Affairs to the drug lord himself. There’s more quotes and praise than actual edge-of-your seat action but still, the sources quoted and the soundtrack make a good case for this even if it…

Teaser Trailer…'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2'
Today we get the teaser trailer for the last chapter in the Twilight Saga. No this isn’t that preview of the teaser for the teaser, this is a full on 50 second teaser…don’t really see the point of those teaser previews, but anyway. So it all comes down to this as Bella is now a vampire, has a child (Renesmee) and holds the fate of the vampire kind in her new sparkly hands…or something like that. Behold… Renesmee is misidentified as an “immortal child” which leads the Cullens gather other vampire clans from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Bella’s daughter is not an immortal child. Doesn’t sound incredibly exciting…

ArcLight Cinemas 10th Anniversary Interview Series – Will Ferrell
With the The Hunger Games hitting theaters this weekend, it’s pretty much a lock that it’ll win the top box office spot with very little contest. So if you’re not into blockbuster tween romance and want something a little more quaint, then Casa de mi Padre is just the ticket. To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Go,See,Talk has partnered with ArcLight Cinemas to bring you interviews with the talent/stars of some of 2012’s most buzzed about and anticipated films. Will Ferrell stopped by the ArcLight to promote Casa di mi Padre and his Q&A after the screening, just like the movie itself, left everyone in stitches. Enjoy… Go,See,Talk had *queue humble brag* our…

G-S-T Review…The Hunger Games
Film fans have seen various visions of dystopia and its many hypothesized forms for decades. From Brazil to Equilibrium, from Logan’s Run to The Running Man, there’s no shortage of dismal looking futures. Yet as bleak as those titles paint their depicted worlds, The Hunger Games lets us know that hope and heart are still part of the human condition. But very much like our own society the aftermath still yields the ‘haves‘ and ‘have nots‘. In The Hunger Games the socioeconomic divides between The Capitol and The Districts are likened to the serf system of the medieval times. Yet the class split is much closer to home than some may realize. The next…

Teaser Trailer…'The Host'
Now that the saga of the Cullens is breaking dawn, I mean winding down (and we’re not going to see The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner on the big screen) what will fans of Stephanie Meyer do? Well there’s always fan-fiction and aside from reading/watching the series again and again, they can start getting excited about Meyer’s other fairly popular novel The Host. Going for a sci-fi angle this time, Meyer’s story is about an alien invasion and focuses on one of the last humans who chooses to fight back. Not much to it but it’s got an interesting premise. Have a look… The Host stars Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder the girl who takes a…

“The CineMagic 8-Ball” – In Theaters 3/23/12
When so many movies are released each weekend and trailers often seem better than the movie itself, what should one do? In this precarious situation, we consult the The CineMagic 8-Ball (TM) to help us see through the nebulous marketing haze. Doing so just might save us all a disheartening trip to the cinema and spare us unnecessarily springing for $7 popcorn. See what the 8-Ball says about this week’s releases… ——————————————————————————————————————————————- THE HUNGER GAMES Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match.
