With The Dark Knight Rises now in theaters, Warner Bros. and DC Comics have reached the end of Christopher Nolan’s fantastic and hugely successful Batman trilogy. As is the norm these days, just because the credits roll it doesn’t mean the story is over. Case in point. Depending on what theater you were in when you saw the epic finale to Nolan’s Gotham City based story arc, you were party to one of two teaser trailers for the studios’ next highly anticipated release.
Next year we will see the reboot of the big blue boy scout but in this re-imagining, like Nolan’s Batman actually, we’re going to get a version of Superman that we’ve never seen before. So whether or not you’ve seen TDKR yet, here are the two teasers for your viewing pleasure. What’s that noise you ask? Oh it’s just millions of Supes fans around the globe who’ve just had their interest considerably piqued. Enjoy…
A child sent to Earth from a dying planet is adopted by a couple in rural Kansas. Posing as a journalist, Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) uses his extraordinary powers to protect his new home from an insidious evil.
Though Christopher Nolan has reached the end of his Batman story arc it doesn’t mean his level of quality will be absent from this next WB film. After all, He’s been good to WB and vice versa which means his producing credit will be a welcomed addition to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. If you haven’t been keeping up, MoS stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Michael Shannon (Zod), Kevin Costner (Pa Kent), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Russell Crowe (Jor El) and plenty more. Things are shaping up nicely for this film which may or may not segue into the fabled (and nigh unfilmable) Justice League but all that aside we can’t wait to see what Snyder has up his sleeve for this orphaned Kryptonian.
Warner Bros. is still full steam ahead to bring Man of Steel to theaters (probably everywhere) on June 14, 2013. Are you ready???

Does that footage feel incredibly Terrence Malick-ish to anyone else? Or is it just me?
And yes, that’s my big takeaway from the clip.
