It seems that no studio is without production/financial/creative woes. We heard about the long struggle to get Skyfall up and moving and for the past year we’ve been heard similar stories about the roller coaster ride that was the production of Disney’s The Lone Ranger. Snagging some great talent like Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, but also hitting some financial snags, the film pushed on. So here we have the first real glimpse at the world of the Ranger and it looks solid. Enjoy!!
Directed by Gore Verbinski, this film finds Johnny Depp reunited with his fellow Pirates of the Caribbean alum as he stars alongside Armie Hammer star as the titular hero. Written by Ted Elliot, Terry Rossio and Justin Haythe, The Lone Ranger is about Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) who recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice. Expect to be taken on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
For the first trailer I think I’m suffieciently sold. Can’t wait to see more of this. Disney has slated The Lone Ranger for wide release next Summer on July 3rd, 2013. Does this look sweet or what??
