Here we have the trailer Owen Wilson’s latest film Hall Pass. While I do like the guy I think his novelty has worn off. Personally speaking he’s just not making anything of value anymore; merely collecting paychecks with his quirky humor. But in this economy, a job is a job and we should all be so lucky right? However this is a Farrelly Brothers film and looks like his brand of humor could be a good fit for their style of writing. While their films have been more and more disappointing, this one may just work. Anyway have a look and let me know what you think…
Owen Wilson and SNL’s Jason Sudeikis star in Hall Pass, a film about two married men given the opportunity to have an affair by their wives. Things get a little out of control when both wives start engaging in extramarital activities as well. I don’t know what it is, but are we at the age where middle aged shenanigans is the new norm for comedies? Earlier this year we had Grown ups, before that was The Hangover, Step Brothers, Wedding Crashers and a few years ago I think we all remember the popular other Wilson Brother (Luke) in Old School. Perhaps I’m looking too deep but that still seems like a trend to me.
Regardless it looks like there’s a decent amount of good laughs to be had. Hall Pass is set to hit theaters early next year on February 25, 2011. While I probably won’t see it opening night this definitely looks to be a solid “rental”. What do the rest of you think? Anyone interested in Hall Pass??
