Sweet Trailer…’Your Highness’

Now this is quite a change in the ever dynamic career of James Franco. He’s such a hot property (I still thought he would have made for a good Anakin Skywalker) and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon. Yet for as amazing and professional as his performance is being praised in Danny Boyles’ 127 Hours, he looks like he’s still comfortable having some fun and hamming up the scene. Here Franco stars alongside Danny McBride and Natalie Portman in David Gordon Green‘s follow up to Pineapple Express. There’s a lot of raunchy laughs to be had…Enjoy!

While I didn’t mind Pineapple Express I didn’t love it either; it just went on too long for my taste. Have to say I’m very interested in Your Highness although I think it’s suspicious that they’re releasing a Red Band trailer. Sure it’s It seems that if a film gets a RB trailer to get people’s attention then its a good bet the film might not be that great (anyone remember The Goods?). Seems like they’re giving most of the shocks away up front but as anyone who’s seen episodes of Eastbound & Down knows, we can probably expect humor and jokes running all over the place.

Still I’m willing to take a chance on this. How about you?? Your Highness is set for release next year on April 8th 2011.

Not that impressed with this film in all honesty. Looks kind of dumb to be truly honest, but not like funny dumb, with a lot of Ferrel comedies, just dumb dumb. And looks like it’s relying too much on curse words for humor.

Well like I said, there’s a history of red band trailers preceding poor movies. While I don’t think this would have snagged Portman if it’s going to be terrible, she was in the SW prequels.

I agree with it being dumb looking and McBride is tolerable in small doses, but Franco can do a lot to keep your attention. For me, the jury is still out but it still has me interested.
