Marvel Studios began principal photography today in San Francisco, California on its newest Super Hero franchise Ant-Man. The film brings one of Marvel comics’ original founding members of The Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (or MCU). The production also shoots on location in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the base for the film’s production. Set for release in the United States next Summer, the film is directed by Peyton Reed (Bring it On, The Break-Up) and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, and Michael Douglas (The Game, Wall Street) as his mentor Dr. Hank Pym and Evangeline Lilly (“The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” “Lost”) as Hope Van…

First Look – Japanese Remake of 'Unforgiven'
This Summer we reported about Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-winning Western Unforgiven being remade and set in Japan. Taking the lead for the film is celebrated Japanese actor Ken Watanabe playing the iconic Eastwood role. Lee Sang-il is set to direct the film which takes place in 1880 around the time that the country is (like The Last Samurai) becoming more Westernized. In this similarly themed film Watanabe plays a “samurai with a violent past, who lives on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido with his aboriginal wife, but is brought out of retirement for one last job.” The first set shots have been released and even though they only started shooting this month it’s still enough to…

Ohhh, Look…First Image of Henry Cavill as Superman for 'Man of Steel'
Boy now this takes me back; I remember last time we got our first look at the “new” Superman. Today we get a look at the young Henry Cavill wearing Kal-El‘s iconic suit but I have to say I’m a little taken aback. Why’s that you ask? Well it’s the hair. Now while I really shouldn’t knit-pick this early in the game, I can’t help myself…all I can focus on is the hair. Am I the only one??
