As cinemas and studios close the books on Summer, it’s a good bet film fans weren’t expecting many more wows on the big screen. Well, if you need a surefire thrill-ride, look no further than Lionsgate’s Kin – the feature-length debut from Australian born, Los Angeles-based directors Jonathan & Josh Baker. The duo craft their first narrative feature, Kin, based on their 2014 sci-fi short, “Bag Man” (check it out here). They already have accomplished careers in marketing/advertising (and the film is full of beautifully gritty shots they no doubt honed in the last 15 years), but I’m positive they’re going to take off. Sweet Trailer…’Transformers: Age of Extinction’
Michael Bay can’t get enough of the Transformers universe and regardless of the cohesiveness of the story he just loves those autonomous robots. He also knows how to stage kick-ass action and as such he’s jumped back in the sandbox to play, only this time he brought his big boy toys. No Sam Witwicky, no cute-n-hilarious parents, no annoying and/or racist robots (we can only hope), just a down and dirty Transformers flick that true fans have been waiting for. Delivery Man is a new movie starring Vince Vaughn as a middle aged slacker. For those of you familiar with Vince Vaughn’s work, you generally have a good idea of what to expect. Most of the time his movies are either hit or miss. He plays a very distinct slacker role in most of his films and this film is no different. The thing this movie has going for it, right out of the gate, is that it has a premise with depth and heart.
