G-S-T Review…Wreck-It Ralph
Should you manage to see Wreck-It Ralph blind and with no knowledge of its source of origination, you might be inclined to credit the film to Pixar. And while that wouldn’t be an unreasonable guess, you’d be wrong. Ralph has all the bearings of Pixar at its finest, yet Rich Moore’s first feature length effort comes to us from none other than the Mouse House itself. Arriving six months after the release of Brave, Ralph gives weight to the theory that both animation studios are just blurring together more and more in the wake of Pixar’s acquisition by Disney in 2006. If that strikes anyone as a bad sign for creativity, then the news that Wreck-It Ralph happens to…

Vintage Litwak's Arcade Game Commercials From Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph'
Back at D23 (and then again for San Diego Comic-Con) Disney unveiled the promo arcade game of Fit It Felix Jr. to promote the upcoming computer animated film Wreck-It Ralph. Then a few weeks ago they released one of their fun vintage trailers as if the actual game existed in the 8-bit arcade era. But as Fit It Felix Jr. is just one of the many games (some real, some made up) in the film, Disney has gone the extra mile and created fake trailers for each of the main games featured in the film. Anyway, the trailer for Hero’s Duty (the Halo inspired game that plays a role in the…

Sweet (Final) Trailer….'Wreck-It Ralph'
Not since the first Expendables have we been this excited for a film to be released. Let me clarify, that’s anticipation of the film mind you, not satisfaction with the end product. While all signs point to this being a much better outing than Sly’s action opus, it pays to have just a little reserved optimism. But who are we kidding. We can’t freaking wait for this!! And we will probably be giving away advance screening passes so stay tuned for that! So if you weren’t already fully on board, have a look at the final trailer for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph. How bout that huh?? There’s a lots more fun in this…

Sweet Trailer…Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph'
To those of us who grew up in a world filled with arcades and 8-bit games, words cannot express how much of a love-letter this film is. In the vein of other heart-felt animated gems like Monster’s Inc. and The Incredibles, comes this super-sweet looking film about a video game villain, Ralph, who decides he no longer wants to be the “bad guy”, and ventures into other games in hopes of becoming a “hero”. This trailer premiered on MSN so have a look at it as well as an intro from Ralph himself, John C. Reilly… Directing this delightful looking animated throwback film is “Futurama” and “The Simpsons” alum Rich Moore.Yes, Brave looks really good but Wreck-It Ralph is the animated…

Ohhh, Look…First Look At 'Wreck-It Ralph' Characters – UPDATED
Last week we got a look at Ralph, from Pixar’s upcoming Wreck-It Ralph. It wasn’t much but it did have that old school, side-of-an-arcade-game look/feel to it. But this morning, USA Today has 4 exclusive images from the feature. In the film about a vintage 8-bit brute, Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) has been bashing buildings for 30 years as the well-mannered hero Fix-It Felix, Jr. (30 Rock’s Jack McBrayer) has constantly repaired all his demolition handiwork. Ralph decides he no longer wants to be the “bad guy”, but in his attempts to change his ways he unleashes a deadly enemy who threatens to destroy every game in the arcade. Behold, some…
