G-S-T Year In Review – Grady’s 2011 Wrap Up
This year went by pretty fast and like Ferris Bueller once said about life, “if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it“. Well, a decent number of films got by me, but I managed to lock in on a few of the best (and worst) of 2011. With that being said, here is my rundown of some gems that graced the big screen this year…

G-S-T Quick 5 – Things I Never Understood About 'Star Wars'
For the umpteenth time Star Wars has be re-released to the masses but for the first time ever it is available on Blu Ray…well sort of. In the SW universe there’s a fan base that has an absolute split contention about as polar as the Dark and Light side of the Force. It’s between fans of the original trilogy where half claim the ‘Theatrical Version’ is best, the other half of that fan base for some unknown reason really does enjoy the “Special Enhanced Editions”. Where do I stand? Easy, I’m in the first camp. I’m part of the millions of fans who were won over with the version that George claims…

G-S-T Top 10 – Double Takes; An Exercise in Film Redundancies – UPDATED
Today’s Top 10 focuses on movies that are “So Nice (And Not So Nice) They Made Them Twice”. Basically it’s about the same film we pay to see more than once…and we may not even realize it. Allow me to explain. Sometimes Hollywood will release two films around the same time with surprisingly similar themes, plots, etc. trying to use the excitement surrounding one film to gain interest in the other. While these films may be, at times, nearly the same exact movie, the two usually are met with differing results (namely quality or more importantly financial success). So I tried to come up with 10 films that are good, possibly original…

G-S-T Top 10 – Scenes I Could Watch Over and Over and Over (Part II)
Since I had so much fun with our last post about a number of scenes I could watch on never ending repeat, her are 10 more I find equally pleasing. Note: As is the case with most videos on You Tube there is a wide range in both quality and legitimacy to these clips. In other cases, a specific scene I wanted was just nowhere to be found or if it was has been edited by some dope which ultimately diminishes the integrity of the clip and the point I was trying to make. Anyway, here they are…Enjoy!

G-S-T Top 10 – Awesome Video Games Dying To Be Movies
Taking a huge cue from last year’s Screen Rant article and Castor’s own list, I’ve been toying with/drafting this for a while now and been debating whether or not to finish it…but I guess they were just the catalysts I needed:) Here are 10 games that I am soooo looking forward to seeing on the big screen. Problem is, I’ll probably be waiting a loooong time. But fear not game (and film) fans, this is the Internet right? Someone is bound to hear us. So let’s do what us fans do best…speculate and dream without regard to budgets or plausibility:P Here are the G-S-T Top 10 Awesome Video Games Dying To Be Movies…

G-S-T Top 10 – Favorite Rain Day Flicks
“April showers bring May flowers” and a few hours on the couch can certainly help get you through it all. Below is a breezy list of 10 films that don’t usually provide anything more than a diversion when it’s too rainy to go outside and play. This list ain’t all guilty pleasures, these aren’t even bad films. No, most are quite enjoyable on some level or another it’s just that none of them have high replay value or are very memorable. So here are some of my suggestions for something to throw in your DVD/Blu Ray player on rainy days as I find they’re just the ticket to beat the…

G-S-T’s Year in Review – 2010
What a year film fans! What. A. Year. Despite everyone (mostly James Cameron) thinking film would be changed forever after the obscene success of his billion dollar blue baby {read: Avatar} we got another typical year of good films and bad. And as far as bad film, insult to injury, some of the bad ones really flopped because of rushed post 3D conversions. While I unfortunately didn’t see everything I wanted to I still had a great time with the added bonus of missing things like Jonah Hex, Skyline and thankfully, every one of these. Whew! A few weeks ago, while prepping for his year end podcast, The Mad Hatter at The Dark of the Matinee asked…

G-S-T Top 10 – Flicks for Halloween
While the “Horror genre” is not my cup of tea, there are some films that I really enjoy watching. They are well done and really scare the crap out of me which is just what you’d want from a Halloween flick right? It’s not that I like horror films but each of these on this list have a quality content which puts them (severed) “head and shoulders” above the predictable, stereotypical and disposable slasher flicks. This time of year, I enjoy watching these films to get me in the Halloween mood. So to get us in the spirit for All Hallow’s Eve, I thought share my suggestions (in no particular…
