    First Look – Japanese Remake of 'Unforgiven'

    This Summer we reported about Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-winning Western Unforgiven being remade and set in Japan. Taking the lead for the film is celebrated Japanese actor Ken Watanabe playing the iconic Eastwood role. Lee Sang-il is set to direct the film which takes place in 1880 around the time that the country is (like The Last Samurai) becoming more Westernized. In this similarly themed film Watanabe plays a “samurai with a violent past, who lives on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido with his aboriginal wife, but is brought out of retirement for one last job.” The first set shots have been released and even though they only started shooting this month it’s still enough to…

    We’re wading further and further into Tolkien week, and as each day goes by, that venerable rogue Peter Jackson continues releasing new media for the upcoming first entry in his latest Middle Earth venture, The Hobbit. A day ago, we were treated to a bevvy of hi-res images from the film; today, we have a new trailer on which to feast our eyes. While the clip released earlier this year played a bit broadly, this latest bit of footage focuses much more on establishing tone, and it should be to no one’s surprise that Jackson appears to have nailed it.     Ken Watanabe Cast In Japanese Remake of 'Unforgiven'

    Japanese actor Ken Watanabe, of hit films like Inception and The Last Samurai, has just signed on to Warner Bros’ remake of Clint Eastwood‘s western Unforgiven. Likened to a film like Seven Samurai being adapted into The Magnificent Seven for Western audiences, this time the source material is going to be transplanted and set in Japan.     Sweet Teaser Trailers…Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel'

    With The Dark Knight Rises now in theaters, Warner Bros. and DC Comics have reached the end of Christopher Nolan’s fantastic and hugely successful Batman trilogy.     Sweet (Final) Trailer…'The Dark Knight Rises'

    Looks like it’s all come down to this, we have one final full trailer for the final installment in the Nolan Batman saga. Some of this you’ve seen, some of this is new, but it’s all just a hint of the magic to come this Summer. To quote the Joker in The Dark Knight, “Here, we, go…” Eight years after Batman took the fall for Two Face’s crimes, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham’s finest, and the Dark Knight resurfaces to protect a city that has branded him an enemy. Warner Bros. has slated The Dark Knight Rises for release (on regular and IMAX theaters) everywhere this Summer on July 20th, 2012.

    On Sunday Yahoo has released the first two official posters for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and now we get a full on trailer!
