In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO. Although we were unable to screen Dredd 3D before its release, it is quite good for a futuristic, action/sci-fi, reboot film.

All of these movies look incredibly entertaining, especially Frankenweenie, and Dredd. Even though I like action flicks, they’re not the kind of movies I’m willing to pay lots of money to go see in theatres. One of my coworkers at DISH recommended Dredd by saying it was the best action movie he’s seen in quite a while, and I’m fairly excited to see it. I’m almost tempted to buy it, but I spend way too much money doing that, especially since most of the movies I’ve bought over the years only get watched once or twice, so I’m going to put it in my Blockbuster @Home queue and rent it instead. With Blockbuster I can afford to rent what I want like Dredd (and thousands of other movies too ) for a flat, low monthly fee.
