Over the years, Dreamworks Animation has been pretty hot on the heels of Pixar and dare I say even going toe to toe with their last couple of films. How to Train Your Dragon was a huge hit and they have just been putting out higher and higher quality pictures. I think it’s safe to say they have found their groove. I never thought of a film being able to exist as both a “period piece” and a “buddy flick”. The first is a very traditional type of film, the other a more modern kind of story. Well, The King’s Speech is definitely one that equally encompasses both types of stories.
