    Sweet Trailer…'Brave'

Brave tells the tale of  Scottish Princess Merida, an unruly daughter of royal nobility who is not content living by her family’s rules (sound like any other Disney Pricesses we know??). Merida one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. Going in the “way back machine” this excitingly looks in the same vein of the other recent and fun medieval stories like Legend of The Guardians or How To Train Your Dragon and that’s got my fires stoked! For those of you who were on board for the teaser trailer back in June behold, the full length trailer…now with more Scottish accents. Enjoy! Originally Brave was to be directed…

    Sweet Trailer…'Being Flynn'

It’s been a while since Paul Weitz gave us About A Boy (an endlessly charming family-centric film if I do say so myself) and unfortunately as of late his track record has been on par with the once mighty Shamhammer (read: Shyamalan). While no one was expecting anything of merit from Little Fockers, the most recent in a series of underwhelming films from both Weitz and De Niro, the two reunite in the adaptation of offering a story about another of a troubled broken family looking for some semblance of normalcy. Below is the trailer for the Robert De Niro led film Being Flynn. Have a look… So far, I’m game. The unassuming…

    Twilight Breaks Dawn In Dallas

On Wednesday evening, four members of the insanely popular Twilight franchise touched down here in Dallas as part of a 5 city press tour. Partaking in all the Twi-hard fun was the one and only Mrs. Go,See,Talk who was one of the few people who won a contest to meet the visiting stars Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene and Charlie Bewley at the event here in town. I thought it would be a little fun to have her write her experience (not as a correspondent mind you, but a star struck fan) so have a look at her recap of her fun but all to brief star-studded night after the jump…

Sweet Trailer…'Snow White & The Huntsman' – UPDATED

Wow! I knew this other Snow White movie was going for a larger and grittier tone but I wasn’t expecting this. From Universal Pictures comes the Rupert Sanders directed take on the Snow White story we all know…or think we know. Combining the looks of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with a scale on par with anything Ridley Scott has ever done this just floored me. Enough words, just watch…oh and sorry for the short ad below. Enjoy!! Going for a rather heavy and dark spin on the famous fairytale this looks, as I kind of imagined, waaay more interesting and captivating than the upcoming Tarsem Singh film Mirror, Mirror. Can’t say much…

    Sweet Trailer…'Pariah'

From writer/director Dee Rees comes the feature length expansion of her award-winning 2007 short film Pariah. After the screening last night, I’d have to say this is probably the most surprisingly heartfelt and enjoyable film I’ve seen so far this half of 2011. Sporting a talented cast led by Adepero Oduye (and no less than 9 producers including Spike Lee), Pariah is a finely acted and written film, I’d seriously suggest you check out this honest and inspirational film… 17 year old Alike (pronounced ah-lee-kay) is quietly but firmly embracing her identity as a lesbian. With the sometimes boisterous support of her best friend, out lesbian Laura (Pernell Walker), Alike is especially…

Relativity Media announced today that the long-awaited title for its upcoming spectacular re-imagining of the classic Snow White fairy tale is Mirror Mirror. Filming for the comedy action adventure wrapped in mid-September under the stylish direction of Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell). The newly titled film Mirror Mirror stars breakout star Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as an exiled princess who enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright and Oscar-winner Julia Roberts as an evil Queen who steals control of a kingdom, in a magical adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.  The film also stars Armie Hammer (The Social…

    Off the Shelf…’The Lion King’

There’s more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done. Disney’s amazing and beloved feature The Lion King roars to life on Blu Ray and for a film that is 17 years old the transfer is just stunning. The tale of young Simba traumatized by the loss of his father is a powerful (and Shakespearean) story that can be appreciated by all age groups and all walks of life. Hakuna Matata this is always such a great film to revisit!

Today the Web is buzzing with news of the new Bond film. Until now Bond’s upcoming film has been titled very simply Bond 23 but today we get a singular name: Skyfall. Sony Pictures had a big press conference about the next James Bond earlier today and all the key players of Skyfall were present including producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The film, from Albert R. Broccoli’s Eon Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, is directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his third film as James Bond 007.
