    A while back some snazzy graphic designers (like the ones populating Deviant Art) created some simplistic yet brilliant minimalist super hero posters. Then came several iterations of some rather fantastic minimalist movie posters. Needless to say things haven’t slowed down a bit and minimalism is the new black…or something like that.     Sweet Trailer…'Shame'

    From writer/director Steve McQueen comes the controversial and sexual drama Shame. It’s about Brandon, a 30-something New Yorker, who’s private life (which allows him to indulge his sexual addiction) begins to unravel after his sister moves into his apartment for an indefinite stay. Starring Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) and Carey Mulligan (Drive) this trailer gives just a hint at the anxious intensity to be expected in McQueen’s follow up to Hunger.     In a case of mistaken identity, similar to The Man Who Knew Too Much, Lightning McQueen’s affably oblivious best friend Mater is swept up in a dastardly and ingenious plot that would make Ian Fleming smile. John Lasseter has a fondness for spy films (as described in his very informative commentary with co-director Brad Lewis). He and his whole family are huge fans of the Bourne series so he felt making Cars 2 a throwback spy film was the best way to approach this sequel.
