Here’s an ethics question for everyone: Would you do something wrong (read: bend the truth or just flat-out lie) to save your own hide or someone else’s because in the long run you know it’s a decision for the greater good? The film Margaret attempts to answer that in a very nebulous manner. In some ways it’s a modern and ethically grey (messed up is more appropriate) fable, but the story goes to show that not only can a wrong decision have unintended consequences, those ripples can go farther than you’d ever imagine. More importantly, somethings can never ever be undone or taken back.

Happy Birthday Mr. President indeed! Premiering today is the trailer for the much publicized film My Week with Marilyn starring the wonderfully talented Michelle Williams. Following the story of Marilyn Monroe during her visit to London in the 50s to shoot The Prince and the Showgirl, this Weinstein Company backed film attempts to show the more human (read: troubled) side of the world’s most beloved blond bombshell that few have ever seen. Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen something from Luc Besson that looked this good! The Lady is a film adaptation chronicling the life of pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi and the academic and writer Michael Aris. G-S-T Review…Dream House
At first glance the names Craig, Weisz, Watts and Sheridan look great on a poster and together could help make a solid film. But even a roster like that can contribute to something terrible. In short Dream House is constantly plagued by components that seem beyond amateur; shoddy editing, thin story, poor dialog, etc. Then there’s other things that don’t help any. Welcome one and all to Go,See,Talk’s third and final Multi-Blog-A-Thon. The rules for today are very simple: Since kids should all be back to school by then, it’s kind of a throwback goof on the lunchboxes we went to school with.
