There are a precious few films in 2013 that have our unwavering attention and support. Well, really there’s more than a few, but chief among the highly anticipated titles still coming down the pike are Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. We’ve been teased in the last few trailers but nothing really moved the mercury for us like we were expecting. Today that all changes as the one-two punch of Snyder’s visuals and Christopher Nolan’s story now show us a hefty glimpse of the epicness we’re in store for this June. So let me not detain you any longer…enjoy this magnificent 3 minute trailer for Man of Steel.
Not going to lie, this gives me goosebumps (and those Kevin Costner scenes kind of made me tear up) and looks like it could…wait for it…be the greatest movie ever made! Then again it could be the trailer doing what it does best; hype something that is less than dissatisfying. But, cautious optimism aside, who are we kidding. If this is just a taste of the Super-smorgasbord to come this Summer, then we’re already claiming a place in line outside our local cineplex! *high pitched whistle* Taxi!!!
Directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300, Dawn of the Dead) and starring Henry Cavill as the titular big blue boy scout, this Superman reboot also stars an amazing cast including Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon as General Zod. Warner Bros. is still full steam ahead to bring Man of Steel to theaters at the start of Summer this year on June 14, 2013. I can almost feel the iconic bum, bum-dum bum bum, in my veins. Can’t you??
